In 2000, organics and locally sourced were no where to be found on the Stanford University campus. The Director of the Cantor Arts Center had the vision to marry art with beautiful real food, and Jesse Cool took over the cafe at the museum to make that vision a reality. Seventeen years later, it remains a destination for anyone seeking the best food, prepared on site with the best of the season ingredients.
Jesse’s Cantor Arts Cool Café @ Stanford University overlooks the Rodin Sculpture Garden at the Cantor Arts Center, and features art created by Stanford students. In short, it’s the perfect combination of food and art.
The menu features delicious gourmet sandwiches, soups, salads, and fresh desserts. Special menu items change daily. All the dishes are prepared with local seasonal fruits and vegetables. Enjoy a glass of wine, port, or beer with your meal in the inviting dining room or on the outdoor terrace.
The Cantor Arts Cool Café, galleries, and gardens are all accessible by wheelchair.
"Sitting at one of the patio tables is one of my favorite spots for lunch on a sunny day. Located at the Cantor Arts Center on Stanford University campus, the cafe overlooks the Rodin Sculpture Garden. There is a large grass area where my children love to run while we wait for our lunch to arrive. The cafe serves fantastic soups, salads and sandwiches (my favorite is the egg salad with capers on a baguette)." Yelp Review
